In this position you will promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing Customers and growing the base.  Your main goal will be to expand and grow the business base by developing new customer relationships within the Department of Defense and within the US Government Intelligence Agencies

Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

  • Promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing US government customers
  • Expand and grow business base by developing new customer relationships & strategic partnerships
  • Support the Company's short and long-term strategic plan to meet or exceed their Bookings forecast under the direction of senior leadership
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy and achievement of their Bookings Forecast and Plan
  • Visit prospective, new, and existing customers on a regular basis to support new and existing products and programs
  • Perform competitive market analysis and monitor competitive activity to identify evolving customer needs and develop business cases
  • Assist in the development of the planning, designing, and implementing of business plans, such as, capture plans, proposal activities
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments and/or functions within SES Space & Defense (e.g. Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc) to coordinate customer activities, market strategies, and solutions development
  • Facilitate presentations on Company portfolio of products and services
  • Attend business meetings and trade shows as requested

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, cyber, intelligence, aeronautics or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience within DoD and Intelligence Community
  • US DoD Clearance preferred, or eligible.  TS/SCI clearance or ability to renew previous TS/SCI clearance preferred.
  • Understanding of US Contracting and budgeting processes
  • Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of industry markets, products, and technology
  • Deep understanding of hosted payloads, satellite operations, and constellation architecture
  • Understanding of Satellite Communications and existing DoD SATCOM solutions preferred.
  • Previous engagement with DoD stakeholders through solutions development and acquisition cycles
