Pricncipal Network Engineer
Hybrid from Reston, VA or Tampa, FL

POSITION SUMMARY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engineer, implement, and maintain MPLS VPNS and service provider switching
• Provide tier 2 escalation support for GNOSC connectivity issues
• Perform maintenance on routers, switches, and firewalls
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to address security vulnerabilities
• Adhere to change management processes
• Participate, and contribute, in Engineering and Customer meetings
• Travel to remote locations as needed
• Perform configuration changes on firewalls as needed
• Lift up to 50 lbs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
• 8-10 years networking experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Independent and team-oriented work ability
• Proficient in MS Visio for network documentation
• Multitasking and prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to ongoing learning
• JNCIS with 5 years supporting Juniper Networks
• Strong routing/switching experience
• Palo Alto Firewall experience
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Ability to obtain Secret Level Clearance
• Flexible hours for outages and maintenance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active DOD Security Clerance
• Security+ CE
• Splunk Experience

The base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
